This week, Sudanese courts handed down death and prison sentences to several individuals found guilty of collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The Bahari North Criminal Court in Daroshab sentenced one defendant, identified as M.H.S.A., to death by hanging as a deterrent, citing violations of Sudan’s criminal code related to cooperation with the RSF, according to the official SUNA news agency.
In another case, the Sennar Court condemned A.B. to death by hanging for assisting RSF intelligence in the Al-Nuraniya area. SUNA reported that A.B. collected sensitive information on military weaponry at frontline positions and relayed it to RSF forces.
Additionally, a third defendant received a 10-year prison sentence for trafficking stolen goods on behalf of the RSF and transporting fuel from Khartoum to supply the group.
