Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho Up For Europa League Awards

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been lauded for his outstanding performance against Manchester United on Thursday night at Old Trafford.

Following his outstanding performance against Manchester United, Uzoho has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League League Player of the Week and Save of the Day honours.

The 23-year-old was on the verge of completing one of the greatest goalkeeping performances in Old Trafford history until Scott McTominay scored deep into stoppage time. Manchester United won the game 1-0 to keep their perfect record in the tournament intact.

In only his second appearance for the Cypriot club this season, Uzoho made 11 excellent saves during the game. The goalkeeper will compete for the Player of the Week award against Vitor Oliveira, Joey Veerman, and William Boving.

Along with Ugurcan Cakir, Kenan Piric, and Jorg Siebenhadhl, he is vying for the Save of the Day prize.
