The Supreme Court on Friday, affirmed Francis Nwifuru as the duly elected Governor of Ebonyi state.
Nwifuru’s victory comes after a five-member panel of the court led by Tijani Abubakar, dismissed the appeal filed by governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Ifeanyi Odii.
Odii had challenged Nwifuru’s election on grounds of electoral malpractices and irregularities. The court however, the court dismissed this appeal.
