American singer Taylor Swift continues her streak of success, with her special cinematic event earning a massive box office total in North America following the triumphant launch of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The Official Release Party of a Showgirl earned an estimated $33 million between Friday and Sunday in the United States and Canada, according to Exhibitor Relations.

The three-day-only event — which included the premiere of Swift’s first music video from the album, exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and lyric videos — was also shown in select cities worldwide, although international figures are yet to be released.

“No other music artist can achieve this,” said analyst David A. Gross from Franchise Entertainment Research, highlighting that the “Release Party” was only announced on September 19.

“The film could easily double its box office if it continued showing, but its run has ended.”

In second place, Paul Thomas Anderson’s action thriller One Battle After Another grossed $11.1 million in its second weekend.

The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a disillusioned former revolutionary and Sean Penn as his ruthless adversary, roles already generating Oscar buzz.

The Smashing Machine, a biopic starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as MMA fighter Mark Kerr, debuted in third place with a modest $6 million.

“Johnson and Emily Blunt have lifted bigger projects—but not this one,” Gross commented.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, a live-action and animated adaptation of the popular Netflix series, ranked fourth with $5.2 million, while horror sequel The Conjuring: Last Rites followed in fifth with $4 million, bringing its domestic total to $167.8 million.
The rest of the top 10 included:
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – $3.5 million

Avatar: The Way of Water (3D reissue) – $3.2 million

The Strangers: Chapter 2 – $2.8 million

Good Boy – $2.3 million

Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 – $1.8 million
