The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the brutal assault of a salesgirl on Lagos Island.
Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Monday, saying, “Three suspects have been arrested for beating and brutalising a salesgirl in Lagos. The Lagos State Police Command has been on top of the matter, and justice must be served. Thank you all.”
The incident, captured in a video that went viral on social media on Sunday, shows four men whipping the woman as she writhed on the ground inside a boutique opposite Tantalizers.
According to the video caption, the salesgirl was accused of stealing from her employer, who allegedly instructed unidentified men to flog her as punishment.
