Three workers were rescued on Wednesday after the collapse of a three-storey building in Anambra State.
The building, which was at the roofing stage, was situated near Diamond Pizza, opposite Five Star Eatery, along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway in Awka.
The incident occurred at around 5:25 PM, and thankfully, no lives were lost.
A local witness described hearing a series of loud sounds and rushing outside to find the building had completely caved in.
Rescue operations began immediately, with victims pulled from the rubble. Passersby and commuters assisted in the efforts.
Officials from the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) visited the site and set up a panel of inquiry to investigate the cause of the collapse, promising further updates.
