President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, marked on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated Wike’s journey in public life, describing it as one defined by clarity of purpose, bold leadership, and unwavering commitment to national service.
Tinubu portrayed the former Rivers State governor as “an audacious top performer who defies obstacles and delivers results,” drawing attention to his pivotal role in reshaping the Federal Capital Territory through an assertive and far-reaching infrastructure renewal drive.
The President made particular reference to Wike’s decisive action in resolving a 14-year stalemate surrounding the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, noting it as a clear example of his results-driven approach.
He further applauded the minister’s resilience, strong work ethic, and “can-do attitude,” expressing appreciation for his consistency in executing reforms and delivering projects with visible impact.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet — an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital like never before and proving that his ‘Mr. Project’ moniker extends beyond his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and wish him continued strength and fulfillment as he marks another year in his life journey.”
President Tinubu concluded by wishing the FCT Minister sound health, renewed vigour, and even greater accomplishments as he continues to serve the nation.
