Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Katsina State to attend the funeral services for his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
President Tinubu landed at Katsina airport aboard the presidential jet NAF 001 at approximately 1:50 p.m. His wife, First Lady Remi Tinubu, had arrived in the state earlier.
The Nigerian president is expected to join Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina in receiving Buhari’s remains, which are en route to the airport.

The president had previously instructed Vice President Kashim Shettima to travel to London and accompany General Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria.
General Buhari passed away on Sunday at The London Clinic at the age of 82.
A large gathering of dignitaries, including foreign envoys, state governors, ministers, political leaders, and traditional rulers, has already converged in Katsina State to pay their respects to the former president.
