President Bola Tinubu has called off the previously planned nationwide address to commemorate Nigeria’s 26th Democracy Day anniversary.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Segun Imohiosen, the Director of Information and Public Relations, indicated that the change is due to President Tinubu’s participation in a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday.

He also mentioned that the president will deliver his Democracy Day speech directly from the chambers of the National Assembly.
