The new United States (US) Federal Reserve Chairman, Kevin Warsh, has been scheduled to be sworn in on Friday at the White House in a ceremony hosted by Donald Trump.
The White House confirmed the news of the swearing-in ceremony in an official statement to AFP.
“The President will host a swearing-in ceremony for Kevin Warsh at the White House on Friday,” the statement read.
Warsh was confirmed by the US Senate on Wednesday to lead a central bank.

Presently, Warren is facing criticism from the Democratic opposition, with Senator Elizabeth Warren calling him a “sock puppet.” Warsh served on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors from 2006 to 2011.
Recall, in January, Former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell said a Justice Department criminal probe into alleged cost overruns connected to a building renovation project was intended to pressure monetary policy decision-making. The investigation came after Trump’s separate attempt to remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook from the board.
However, the criminal investigation into Powell has now been dropped, as the Trump administration seeks to ease the path for Warsh’s confirmation. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is expected to rule on the legality of Cook’s removal from the Federal Reserve board.
