US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran would face military actions he described as “force that has never been seen before” if it responds to the recent US and Israeli strikes that killed its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a post on his Truth Social platform early Sunday, he said that Iran appeared ready to launch a major retaliation but cautioned that any such move would trigger a response.
“THEY BETTER NOT DO THAT, HOWEVER, BECAUSE IF THEY DO, WE WILL HIT THEM WITH A FORCE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!” he said.

The warning follows a large-scale US-Israel bombing campaign in the Middle East, described as one of the most significant military buildups in the region since 2003. Iranian state media confirmed Khamenei’s death after the strikes.
Iran has since carried out retaliatory attacks across parts of the Gulf, including reported strikes near US military positions and in Abu Dhabi.
Trump has maintained that the US bombing will continue “as long as necessary”, adding that Khamenei’s death gives Iranians their greatest chance for taking power from the current regime.
