Nigerian music video director and cinematographer TG Omori has shared that he recently underwent a kidney transplant that ultimately failed and requested prayers from his fans.
On his verified X account, Omori had previously disclosed that his only brother had donated hos kidney for the operation. “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.”
He posted a photo of himself receiving treatment in the hospital with the caption, “Keep my spirit alive.”
Known as Boy Director, TG Omori is celebrated for his outstanding work with top artists such as Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tekno, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy DML, Falz, Naira Marley, and Asake especially.
While he typically keeps his personal life private on social media, Omori is recognised for his creative brilliance in directing most of Asake’s music videos, often featuring large crowds as a signature theme.
Industry reports claim that TG Omori is Nigeria’s most expensive video director, known for charging in foreign currency.
