Virginia Police Kill Man After Road Rage Stabbing

The Virginia State Police in the US has killed a man who fatally stabbed four people, including a woman and a dog, in a road rage incident on Sunday. 

According to the police, they received a call about reports of a road-rage incident around 1:17 p.m. ET following a car crash. The officials found four stabbing victims when they arrived at the scene. Police said the suspect was carrying a knife and refused to put it down. “The trooper then shot the suspect in self-defence.”

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Unfortunately, A 39-year-old woman and a dog were among the stabbing victims in the road rage. WUSA9 confirms that they both died from their injuries.

Officials say the incident was not related to terrorism, as it was only a case of road rage. 

According to the Northern Virginia Department of Transportation, the roadway was closed from about 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET, but is now open to traffic. 

An eyewitness said he saw two cars “kind of banged up,” then he spotted two people covered in blood and a man with a knife. A woman tried to stop the assailant, but the man kept swinging his knife.
