West Ham United have rejected a £50 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Mohammed Kudus, as the north London club attempt to sign the Ghanaian international ahead of the new season.
Kudus, 24, is reportedly open to leaving the London Stadium this summer and is keen on a move to a Champions League club. Spurs, having qualified for the competition by winning the Europa League, meet that criterion.
While talks are ongoing, West Ham remain open to selling the versatile attacker, though they are unwilling to part with him for less than his £85 million release clause. Tottenham, however, are hoping to secure a deal for less than that valuation.
Kudus joined the Hammers from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million and has made a solid impact, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists in 65 Premier League appearances.
Although Chelsea had previously held discussions over a potential transfer, sources indicate that a move to Stamford Bridge is now unlikely. Well-placed insiders have told BBC Sport that Kudus is prioritising a move to Spurs.
With manager Graham Potter preparing for his first full season in charge, West Ham may look to cash in on one of their key players to fund further squad reinforcements.
Several top European clubs have also expressed interest in Kudus over recent weeks, but Tottenham are currently leading the race for his signature.
