West Ham Sign Traore from Fulham

West Ham United have confirmed the signing of winger Adama Traore from Fulham, reuniting the Spanish international with head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

The 30-year-old previously played under Nuno at Wolverhampton Wanderers between 2018 and 2021 and now joins the Hammers as they battle to move clear of the Premier League relegation zone. Traore could make his debut against Chelsea on Saturday, with the match live on Sky Sports.

“I’m very happy to be here and ready to help the team as much as I can and show my quality,” Traore said. He has made 262 Premier League appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 25 assists during spells with Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Wolves and Fulham, after graduating from Barcelona’s academy.

Nuno welcomed the reunion, saying he was pleased to work with Traore again. He described the winger as a player who understands the Premier League well and whose unique attributes would strengthen the team’s attacking options for the remainder of the season. He added that Traore brings energy, commitment and determination to West Ham’s challenge.

Traore has featured sparingly for Fulham this season, making one league start and 14 appearances from the bench, as Marco Silva’s side move closer to completing a deal with Manchester City for Oscar Bobb.
