Messi’s trip might be a requirement of his deal with the Saudi Arabian government to serve as the nation’s tourist ambassador.
It was reported that the 2022 World Cup winner had signed a deal with them.
The former captain of Barcelona shocked his Instagram fans with a post promoting tourism to Saudi Arabia.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has recently been extensively linked with a move to the Saudi Premier League (SPL), so the timing of his statement piqued interest.
Messi wrote: “Who imagined Saudi Arabia has so much green? ” in his Instagram post’s caption. I enjoy discovering its unforeseen surprises whenever I can.
In the meantime, Messi and his family were welcomed to Saudi Arabia for a vacation by Ahmed Al-Khateeb, the country’s minister of tourism.
