Wizkid Breaks Record with 8 Billion Streams on Spotify

Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, has achieved another significant milestone, becoming the first African artist to surpass 8 billion streams on Spotify. This includes both his lead and featured tracks.

His collaboration with Canadian superstar Drake on the hit song ‘One Dance’ remains his most-streamed track on the platform, with over 2 billion streams. ‘One Dance’ also holds a Guinness World Record as the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Wizkid’s most-streamed album on Spotify is the deluxe edition of his fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos,’ which has garnered nearly a billion streams.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy has reached 7.2 billion streams on Spotify, securing his place as the second most-streamed African artist on the platform. He is also the most-followed Afrobeats artist on Spotify.
