Years After Fadiga Starred At the World Cup, Son Earns A Callup

Senegal head coach, Aliou Cisse has invited the son of local football legend, Khalilou Fadiga to the national team for the first time.

Cisse released a 29-man squad on Friday for Senegal’s friendly matches against Bolivia and Iran as preparations for the 2022 World Cup.

Noah Fadiga, a Stade Brest player is coming 22 years after his father starred at the Mali 2002 AFCON and the South Korea/Japan World Cup.

Other regular suspects were called up and they include Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane, Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy, Nicolas Jackson of Villarreal.

Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, Seny Anthony Dieng, Alfred Gomis, Mary Diaw, Moustaoha Name, Abdou Diallo, Pape Abou Cisse, Kalidou Koulibaly, Cheikhou Kouyate, Fode Ballo Toure, Ismael Jakobs have all been invited. 

Senegal are drawn alongside Ecuador, Qatar and the Netherlands.
