Nigerian domestic airline Azman Air has publicly dismissed claims on social media stating that Capt. Jamil Abubakar still works with the comapny. Jamil is a member of the Dangote family as reported by Peoples Gazette had earlier justified the killing of Deborah Samuel by Islamic extremists.
In a statement via the airline’s official handle, Azman Air released a statement to inform Nigerians that the pilot had ceased to be their staff in 2019.
The tweet reads as follows:
“PUBLIC NOTICE: Capt Jamil Abubakar is no longer a pilot @AzmanAir; his last flight with us was 22nd Dec 2019,” Azman Air said in a rebuttal tweet. “We refuse to take responsibility for a comment or view of former staff. The general public should kindly take note.”
