Many persons have been trapped in a multi-storey building that collapsed at 4th Avenue, Gwarinmpa, Abuja on Thursday morning.
Mrs Florence Wenegieme, Director, Forecasting, Response and Mitigation, FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), confirmed the incident adding that her team had rescued 17 persons from the building said to be under construction.
While details of the incident are sketchy at the moment of this report, News Central’s Abuja Bureau Chief Amadin Uyi reports that some dead bodies have been recovered from the rubble.
