The elections petition tribunal sitting in Kano on Thursday nullified the election of Muktar Yerima representing Tarauni Federal Constituency over certificate forgery.
Yerima contested under the NNPP and won a popular votes to the Green chamber during 2023 General election.
Hafizu Kawu of the APC challenged the electoral victory of Muktar Yerima of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) which the tribunal upheld .
The three member tribunal ruled that the primary school certificate tendered by the respondent Muktar Yerima was counterfeited.
