Renowned Yoruba Actor, Olofa Ina, Passes Away at 73

Deji Akinremi, the revered Yoruba actor widely known as Olofa Ina, has passed away at the age of 73.

The news of Olofa Ina’s demise was shared by Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun on his Instagram page, @saidibalogun, on Thursday. Alongside a photo of the late actor, Balogun wrote, “Good night, Legend Chief Deji Akinremi (Olofa Ina) RIP.”

Born on May 15, 1950, Olofa Ina had a prolific career in acting, accumulating numerous years of experience and contributing to a multitude of movies. His significant acting journey began in 1980, but he had laid the foundation for his craft years earlier by establishing his acting group in 1972, named the “Olofa Ina Theatre Group.”

The passing of Olofa Ina marks the end of an era in the Yoruba film industry, leaving behind a legacy of talent and dedication to his craft.
