A destructive fire ravaged a section of the Idumota Market in Lagos State on Tuesday, which affected about 15 buildings on the street.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at about 11am following an explosion from a generator set and subsequently spread across other buildings in the market.
One of the buildings collapsed as the men of the fire service battled to put out the inferno, and traders tried to salvage what was left of their wares.
