Nurses Play Critical Roles in Care Centres – Nursing Expert

A Senior Family Nurse Practitioner in USA, Fadekemisola Olatise has explained that Nurses are the backbone of any care center.

Commemorating the International Nurses day 2024, tagged Our Nurses, Our Future , The Economic Power of Care, She identified the differences of Nursing practice in Nigeria and USA.

While explaining on News Central Morning show tagged Breakfast Central, She said ” A lot of Nurses flee Nigeria because nurses in Nigeria are under-appreciated, UnderPaid and Under-Valued.”

She added that a Nurse in USA can easily earn six figures but here in Nigeria its difficult.

She suggests that The board of Nursing in Nigeria need to do more regarding the scope of practice, training and salary. Nurses in Nigeria also need to know that they can do more.

While answering questions on Whether Doctors are more important than Nurses, she said ” Both Doctors and Nurses are needed in a hospital. The doctors only diagnose and recommend while the Nurses carry out those recommendations.”
