Reports say at least three Christians were killed and 31 persons, including a pastor, were kidnapped after bandits attacked ECWA and Catholic churches in Bakinpah-Maro, a community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.
Confirming the incident, which occurred on Sunday during church service, the former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, said the bandits arrived en masse at 10 am, shooting sporadically while targeting the two churches in the community.
He said that a pastor in one of the churches, Bernard Gajera, was among those kidnapped.
At the time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Munir Hassan, were unsuccessful.
