Remo Stars, Rivers United Set for Title Decider as First Half of NPFL Concludes

The race for the first-half champions of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has come down to a fierce contest between Remo Stars and Rivers United, with both teams level on points as the first round concludes this weekend across 10 centres.

Currently, Remo Stars lead the table on goal difference, with both teams sitting on 33 points from 18 games. The Sky Blue Stars will clinch the halfway title if they manage to secure a convincing win over Akwa United in Ikenne tomorrow. However, they could lose the top spot if Rivers United outperforms them with a margin of more than two goals in their Monday fixture against Plateau United in Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, Enyimba and several other clubs are still involved in rescheduled matches due to the People’s Elephant’s continental commitments.
