A woman from North Carolina is facing a two-month wait before she can reopen her eye after mistakenly sealing it shut with nail glue, having confused it for eyedrops. The painful error occurred before she realised her mistake.
Footage shared by her daughter, Ria Faggart, shows the woman lying in a hospital bed, her eye covered in a white adhesive substance as she struggles to blink through the distressing situation.
The incident has startled social media users, many of whom remarked that such mix-ups, while alarming, are not as uncommon as one might expect.
