The Irish Times reported that the suspect used household items as weapons and that at least one victim was attacked while standing in their doorway.

Authorities have ruled out any terror-related motives at this stage, and none of the victims’ injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A witness described the dramatic moment of the arrest, stating that police officers arrived swiftly and tackled the suspect outside a house.

“I saw a guy running, and they dived on him,” the witness said. “He just screamed and screamed, ‘Leave me alone.’ He seemed terrified, like someone who wasn’t expecting that to happen. And then it all stopped.”

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
