Senegal’s Mane voted PFA Fans’ Player of the Year

Senegal star Sadio Mane has been voted Premier League PFA Fans’ Player of the Year for the 2019-20 season.

The Liverpool attacker had a fine season scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists as the Merseysiders ended a 30-year wait for a top-flight title.

Mane finished top of a poll voted for by fans across England, ahead of Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Mane was instrumental for Liverpool as they achieved a club-record 99 points and finished 18 clear of outgoing champions Manchester City.

The Reds also dominated the individual end of the year awards with Jurgen Klopp winning the Manager of the Year, Alexander-Arnold clinched the Young Player of the Season prize and Jordan Henderson was voted the Football Writers’ Association Men’s Footballer of the Year.
