The actor, who became well-known as a rapper, revealed that a new album is on the way.

March 2005 saw the release of his final album, “Lost and Found.”

Smith also revealed a list of songs for his upcoming project, which includes duets with Obanga, Jac Ross, and Teyana Taylor. The first tune also features a mention of Smith’s long-time friend and collaborator, DJ Jazzy Jeff, with whom he co-wrote the 1991 hit song “Summertime.”

In January, Smith released the track “Beautiful Scars.” He later discussed in an interview with “Big Boy’s Neighbourhood” how the new song differs from some of his earlier work.

“You know, there’s a brand there that is Will Smith, and the brand is a little different from the man,” he stated. “The brand only represents a very narrow slice of the man, and the man has grown to the point where the brand can almost feel like a prison.”

He and his “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” co-star Tatyana Ali reenacted a famous moment from their series with Grammy-winning female rapper Doechii’s help the same weekend that the album’s release date was announced.

They performed on TikTok to the viral smash song “Anxiety” by Doechii.

Smith unexpectedly showed up during J. Balvin’s Coachella performance in April 2024.
