Inter Milan kept their Serie A title defence on track with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Udinese, extending their lead at the top to six points.
Goals from Marko Arnautovic and Davide Frattesi within the first half-hour were enough to secure the three points, despite a late scare from Udinese, who halved the deficit in the 71st minute through Oumar Solet.
The win marked Inter’s third consecutive victory as they look ahead to a crucial period in their season, which includes a Milan derby in the Coppa Italia semi-finals and a Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich.
The team also faces key matches against Bologna and Roma in their bid to retain the Serie A title.

Inter’s manager, Simone Inzaghi, will be pleased with the contributions from his substitute players, with Arnautovic filling in for the injured Lautaro Martinez and Frattesi stepping in for Nicolo Barella.
Despite Inter’s dominance, Udinese made things tense in the final stages, but goalkeeper Yann Sommer’s two vital saves ensured Inter held on to the win.
The result dealt a blow to Atalanta’s title hopes, as they fell 1-0 to Fiorentina. Moise Kean’s first-half goal lifted Fiorentina to within a point of the European spots, while Atalanta, once title contenders, have now won just four games in 2025.
