UN Denounces Israeli Shots at Diplomats Visiting West Bank

The United Nations condemned Israel’s firing of warning shots during a visit by foreign diplomats to the occupied West Bank, describing the incident as “unacceptable,” a spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Wednesday.

Stephane Dujarric, speaking to reporters, stressed that diplomats carrying out their duties should never be targeted or threatened, emphasising that their safety must always be respected. “These diplomats, including UN personnel, were fired at, warning shots or whatever… which is unacceptable,” he said.
