The Government Media Office in Gaza stated on Saturday that Israel has maintained the closure of border crossings for the 84th consecutive day, blocking humanitarian aid, food, and essential supplies from entering the territory.
The office refuted Israeli media claims suggesting that aid is regularly reaching Palestinians in Gaza.
The statement accused Israel of deliberately preventing vital aid deliveries, severely disrupting critical services such as hospitals and bakeries that Palestinians depend on for survival.
It highlighted that over 90% of Gaza’s bakeries have been disabled, describing this as part of a calculated policy aimed at engineering starvation.
The office reported that hundreds of thousands of tonnes of humanitarian aid have accumulated outside Gaza, where much of it has spoiled due to Israel’s prolonged refusal to permit their entry.
This ongoing blockade has resulted in the deaths of 326 Palestinians over the past 80 days, following what it terms a continuing genocide.

Although Israel has recently allowed a small number of aid trucks into Gaza, the statement emphasised that these deliveries fall far short of the population’s needs.
It also condemned the targeting and killing of six security personnel responsible for protecting aid convoys.
During the siege, over 46,200 aid and fuel trucks were scheduled to enter Gaza to meet essential requirements.
However, only around 100 trucks have been permitted access in recent days, representing less than 1% of what is needed.
The office detailed the human toll of the siege: 58 people have died from malnutrition, 242 due to lack of food and medicine, predominantly elderly individuals, and 26 kidney patients have died because of insufficient nutrition and healthcare.
Additionally, over 300 cases of miscarriage have been recorded among pregnant women due to nutrient shortages.
The media office called on the international community and humanitarian organisations to uphold their moral and legal duties by urgently opening crossings and allowing sufficient aid into Gaza to prevent further famine and save civilian lives. It urged an end to what it described as the occupation’s genocide.
Despite global calls for a ceasefire, Israel has continued its military bombardment against Gaza since October 2023, resulting in more than 53,900 Palestinian deaths, the majority women and children.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its actions in the enclave.
