According to the Thai airport authorities, an Air India flight from Thailand’s Phuket Island to New Delhi had to make an emergency landing on Friday shortly after takeoff due to a bomb threat on board.
This event follows a tragic accident involving a London-bound Air India flight that crashed in Ahmedabad, India, a day earlier, resulting in the deaths of at least 265 individuals, both aboard the aircraft and on the ground.

The Airports of Thailand announced on their Facebook page for Phuket that the pilot of the Airbus A320 informed air traffic control about a bomb threat message discovered on the plane.
Flight tracking service FlightRadar24 indicates that the Phuket flight executed a U-turn over the Andaman Sea shortly after departure and subsequently circled multiple times off the island’s coast before landing.
