AMCON Puts Properties Up for Sale Nationwide

The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has offered several properties for sale to interested members of the public.

The properties are located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, Plateau, and Oyo, according to an advertorial on Monday.

The AMCON said the offerings align with its objectives and its statutory responsibility to efficiently resolve ‘eligible bank assets’ acquired from various financial institutions in Nigeria.

“Assets purchased from various eligible financial institutions hereby offer the following properties for sale to interested members of the public,” the agency said.

Assets offered for sale include a warehouse and office block at Km 9, Old Lagos Road, Podo (Plot 1, 2 & 3 Road 1 Zone 2), Mogbojubola Layout, Opere Industrial Village, Ibadan, Oyo.

“Other structures on site include a security block/gatehouse, external toilet block, and a generator block, all on a site area of approximately 12,802.831 sqm,” the agency said.

AMCON also listed an office complex at 3 Sawyer Crescent, near Corona School, Gbagada, Lagos, for sale.

“The property is rectangular in shape; development on site consists of an office complex on two floors with a generator house and gatehouse,” the agency said.

“Though residential, it can still be used as an office space or school, provided the proper permit & approval are obtained from the right authorities. It measures approximately 1,343.10 sqm (per valuation report).”

Another property, formerly Hotel Sumiram and Green Restaurant, on Secretariat Link Road, Jos, Plateau State, was offered for sale.

“Development on site includes the main block with 6 rooms and 2 servant rooms, a kitchen, a canteen, and a reception,” the corporation said.

“Other developments include a ten (10)-room rear block with a karaoke bar, poolside sit-out, garden, powerhouse, and gatehouse. The property sits on a land size of 2567.74 sqm.”

At Silverbird Entertainment Centre Mall, Central Area, Cadastral Zone, Abuja, AMCON offered a five-storey commercial development with “a gross lettable area of 15,650.10 sqm.”

In 2016, the AMCON took over assets belonging to the family of Ben Bruce, a former lawmaker who represented the Bayelsa East senatorial district.

The agency had alleged that Silverbird Group was indebted to the tune of N11 billion.

Other properties offered for sale are a warehouse and office block at No. 2, Aba Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers.

“Development on site is a warehouse and office block located directly on Aba Road beside the Isaac Boro Park flyover. The property sits on a land size of 2,529.63 sqm,” the AMCON said.

At 216 Okporo Road, Rumuodara, Obi Akpor LGA, Rivers, the agency listed six units of three-bedroom flats and a gatehouse for sale, which sit on a land size of 613.18890 sqm.

The AMCON said it is offering a property at Plot 71 (68), Sani Abacha 7 Link Road, GRA Phase 3, Port Harcourt, for sale.

“Development on site comprises two units of five-bedroom detached duplexes, two wings of four-bedroom semi-detached structures, a gatehouse, and a powerhouse. The property sits on a land size of 2360.32 sqm,” the advert reads.

The debt recovery agency said a property at 4 Nda Street, off Eliada Layout (Cocaine Estate), Rumuogba, Port Harcourt, is also available for sale.

“Development on site is a fenced five-bedroom semi-detached structure on two floors, together with an adjoining two-bedroom domestic servant quarter, security house, and generator house. The property sits on a land size of 691.87 sqm,” AMCON said.

At Km 2 Port Harcourt/Aba Expressway, Port Harcourt, the corporation listed “two bays of warehouses and a security gatehouse, all fenced with sandcrete block walls and secured with a double-leaf metal gate.”

The organisation said the property sits on a land size of 7,607.99 sqm.

At Plot 8, C and C Estate, off R.D Road, off Okporo Road, Port Harcourt, AMCON advertised a fenced seven-bedroom detached structure on two floors, with ancillary structures including servants’ quarters, security house, and generator house.

“The property sits on a land size of 811.12 sqm,” AMCON said.

According to the corporation, the properties will be sold through a “competitive bidding process.”

AMCON said the deadline for bid submissions is July 11, assuring that the opening date for bidding will be communicated.

The agency also said further details on the properties are available on its website.
