News Central Town Hall Set for July 10 in Benue

News Central confirms that the highly anticipated Town Hall meeting addressing the ongoing crisis in Benue State will take place tomorrow, Thursday, July 10, 2025, as planned. The event will commence at 10:00 AM in Makurdi and will bring together traditional rulers, security officials, youth and women’s groups, religious leaders, civil society representatives, and other key stakeholders.

The Town Hall, themed “Crisis in the Heartland: Ending the Cycle of Violence in Benue,” provides a vital platform for affected communities including farmers, survivors, and displaced families, to voice their concerns and call for meaningful solutions to the escalating violence that has tragically claimed over hundreds of lives in recent years.

This event follows recent efforts by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security agencies to restore peace in the region, including the formation of a committee of elders and traditional rulers.
