Okah studied history and international studies, while Abba was an economics student. The two friends vanished from campus three weeks before their colleagues reported their disappearance to the police.

Investigation and Confession

Following the report, the police launched an investigation that led to the arrest of Oladele and two accomplices. Oladele reportedly served as a landlord to one of the victims.

During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed that the students had been killed and their bodies discarded at different locations in Ekiti State.

Suspect’s Death and Police Statement

Sources indicate that Oladele fell ill while in police detention and was rushed to a hospital, where he passed away.

“The suspect (Oladele) was sick in the custody where he was kept by the police. When his health condition was getting worse, he was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he later died,” a source stated.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed Oladele’s death, noting he had been receiving medical treatment and had been “in and out of the hospital” since his arrest. He succumbed to his illness in the early hours of Friday.

Ayanlade reiterated the command’s commitment to justice, urging the public to “disregard any attempt to twist the facts.”
