Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media entrepreneur, Munirat Anto Lecky, has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Tourism and Creative Economy by the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Her appointment, which takes effect from June 23, 2025, was confirmed in an official letter signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government.
Lecky, who currently serves as Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu, is expected to bring her expertise in media and the creative sector to enhance Edo State’s tourism landscape.
In her new role, she will focus on showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage, including the highly anticipated return of the looted Benin Bronzes, and contribute to the development of museums and creative infrastructure across the state.
The appointment letter read in part:
“The Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy with effect from June 23, 2025.”
