Ghanaian international and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after facing five charges of rape.
Partey appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, 2025, for a hearing related to the allegations. During the session, the judge approved a request for bail, imposing specific conditions following arguments made in court.
Dressed in a black zip-neck jumper and carrying a navy blazer, Partey stood in the dock with his arms behind his back throughout the proceedings.

The ex-Arsenal midfielder was formally charged on July 5, 2025, with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the alleged offences occurred between 2021 and 2022. The charges involve three women: two counts of rape concern one woman, three counts of rape relate to a second woman, and the sexual assault charge involves a third.
