Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has ordered the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The announcement came on Monday during the opening session of the council meeting at the Government House chambers in Minna.
Despite the shake-up, the governor held on to key officials in his office. Those retained include the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Chief of Staff (CoS), the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), and other senior aides.

He instructed all commissioners to promptly hand over responsibilities to their respective permanent secretaries.
