The Royal Spanish Football Federation has announced the semi-final fixtures for the 2025 Spanish Super Cup.
Defending champions Barcelona will face Athletic Club, while Real Madrid will meet city rivals Atletico Madrid in the other semi-final, LaLiga confirmed on its website on Monday.
This year’s tournament will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from January 7 to January 11, with all matches taking place at the King Abdullah Sports City — now a regular venue for the competition.
Barcelona head into the tournament as reigning champions, after Hansi Flick’s side thrashed Real Madrid 5-2 in last season’s final to complete a historic treble.
The competition’s revamped format, introduced in 2019, features four teams: the LaLiga champions and runners-up, along with the Copa del Rey finalists.
