“The Gulf region is witnessing a treacherous and aggressive attack by Israel on Qatar’s sovereignty,” he said.
“This is a reminder to all Gulf states that their collective security is under threat from a pariah state that disregards international law.”

Prince Turki stressed that the incident calls into question the reliability of alliances in the region and urged Gulf nations to reconsider their defence strategies.
“This requires our countries to rethink the nature of the threats and restructure their strategic policies to protect their security by all means possible. Israel must not be given a free hand,” he warned.
Turning to the wider Middle East, the former Saudi official criticised both regional leadership and the international community, particularly the United States, for failing to secure stability.
“No region in our world has felt the impact of international uncertainty more than the Middle East,” he said. “While responsibility lies partly with local leaders, the United States bears the greatest share.”
