The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to take part in the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2025 APCS) scheduled for this week.
His Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, confirmed his arrival in a statement issued on Monday, October 27, in Dubai.
Wike left Abuja on Sunday and arrived in Dubai around 4 a.m. on Monday.
He was received by Nigeria’s Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, along with officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) who had arrived earlier.
Among the officials were the Acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Richard Yunana Dauda; Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Legal and Multilateral Cooperation, Benedict Daudu; Director of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima; Director of Engineering Services, Chuks Udeh; and Director of Protocol, Sani Daura.

Wike is expected to lead a panel discussion on Tuesday, where he will highlight recent developments in the FCT and exchange ideas with mayors from various international cities.
According to the organisers, the 2025 APCS is designed to strengthen trade and investment ties among cities and businesses across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
The summit, initiated by the Brisbane City Council in Australia, continues to serve as one of the most inclusive global platforms, bringing together mayors, city administrators, business leaders, and young professionals.
