President Bola Tinubu identified insecurity as Nigeria’s most pressing challenge, particularly plaguing the Northern region.
Speaking through House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas at the 25th Anniversary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna, Tinubu stressed the urgent need to restore community safety, rebuild trust, and strengthen national unity.
The President stated that a decisive approach to security is essential to halt the region’s economic and educational decline.
While acknowledging the complex challenges inherited by his administration, he affirmed the government’s determined commitment to eliminating bandit and terrorist groups operating in the North.

Looking forward, Tinubu expressed optimism regarding the North’s economic prospects, citing the fast-tracking of key infrastructure projects like the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Superhighway and the eventual crude oil production from northern fields such as Kolmani.
He called upon Northern leaders to address their challenges with courage, reminding them that the stability of the North is critical to the peace and development of the entire nation.
