The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has begun enforcement action against 1,095 property owners whose land titles were recently revoked for failing to pay statutory charges.
Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, announced the development on Friday.
According to him, the affected properties are located in the Asokoro, Maitama, Garki and Wuse districts. Of the total, 835 titles were revoked over unpaid ground rent, while 260 others were linked to defaults on land use conversion fees, penalties and related charges.
The FCTA said it had issued multiple public notices between May and November 2025 through newspapers, online outlets and television, urging defaulters to settle outstanding liabilities, including ground rent, Certificate of Occupancy bills, violation fees and conversion fees.

The administration noted that failure to comply violates Section 28 (5a and 5b) of the Land Use Act and the terms attached to Rights of Occupancy.
Olayinka said the minister approved the enforcement after the final 14-day grace period expired on November 25.
He added that the FCTA would now proceed with enforcement against all affected properties following their continued refusal to meet payment obligations.
