The French Foreign Ministry has declared its solidarity with Denmark following renewed threats from US President Donald Trump regarding the annexation of Greenland.
Spokesman Pascal Confavreux emphasised that international borders cannot be altered through force, asserting that the territory’s future rests solely with its inhabitants and the Danish government.
French officials also linked these concerns to recent US military intervention in Venezuela, which led to the detention of Nicolas Maduro.

While France stated it would not mourn the loss of Maduro’s leadership, it condemned the disregard for the UN Charter and international law.
Paris warned against the rise of the “law of the strongest,” reaffirming its commitment to protecting global diplomatic norms and Arctic sovereignty.
