The US embassy said Coca-Cola has invested $1.5 billion in the country over the past 10 years.

It also stated that Coca-Cola’s new investment will strengthen supply chains, increase production, and enhance workforce training across the country.

The embassy hinted that U.S.–Nigeria trade continues to support economic growth, job creation, and long-term partnerships.

“With plans for an additional $1 billion investment in the pipeline, the American multinational is set to boost production, strengthen supply chains, and enhance workforce training across the nation.”
Coca-Cola operates in Nigeria through the Coca-Cola System, which includes Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited and its authorised bottler, the Nigerian Bottling Company.

The system has played a major role in Nigeria’s manufacturing, logistics, and retail sectors for decades.

According to the embassy, “Coca-Cola has been refreshing Nigerians for 75 years.”

In 2025, Coca-Cola Company reached a deal to sell CHI Limited, the maker of the popular brands Chivita and Hollandia, to UAC of Nigeria Plc for an undisclosed fee, six years after acquiring the company.
