The Coca-Cola Company plans to invest an additional $1 billion in its Nigerian operations, according to the United States Embassy in Nigeria.
The embassy disclosed the information in a social media post on January 28, 2026.
It noted the role of American companies in strengthening trade and economic ties between Nigeria and the United States.
The US embassy said Coca-Cola has invested $1.5 billion in the country over the past 10 years.
It also stated that Coca-Cola’s new investment will strengthen supply chains, increase production, and enhance workforce training across the country.
The embassy hinted that U.S.–Nigeria trade continues to support economic growth, job creation, and long-term partnerships.

The system has played a major role in Nigeria’s manufacturing, logistics, and retail sectors for decades.
According to the embassy, “Coca-Cola has been refreshing Nigerians for 75 years.”
In 2025, Coca-Cola Company reached a deal to sell CHI Limited, the maker of the popular brands Chivita and Hollandia, to UAC of Nigeria Plc for an undisclosed fee, six years after acquiring the company.
