The newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Yesiro Karamo, has died.
Karamo reportedly died hours before his inauguration, which was scheduled to take place at the Lagos APC Secretariat on Thursday.
The Lagos State chapter of the APC confirmed his death in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo.
“The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received with profound shock and deep sorrow the news of the sudden demise of our newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary, Karamo Yesiro,” the statement said.

Karamo was among the executive members elected by consensus at the Lagos State APC congress held on Tuesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan, Lagos. The executives were led by the state chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.
The party described Karamo as a committed member who contributed to the APC’s growth and stability in Lagos.
“Though his tenure was tragically cut short, his enthusiasm, humility, and readiness to serve left a lasting impression on colleagues and members alike,” APC added
“He was a vibrant party man whose contributions to the growth and stability of the APC in Lagos State will not be forgotten.
“The Lagos APC stands united in mourning this painful departure. Hon. Karamo Yesiro will be remembered for his service, commitment, and belief in the progressive cause.”
