News Central TV is bringing its Town Hall Series to Asaba, Delta State, for a crucial conversation centred on improving the lives of Nigerians living with disabilities.

The event, themed “From Sympathy to Solutions for Disability in Nigeria,” is designed to move the conversation beyond empathy and toward concrete actions, policies, and opportunities that can drive real change.

Scheduled for March 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM WAT, the town hall will convene policymakers, advocates, and members of the public in Asaba, Delta State. It is part of News Central’s broader effort to push for meaningful inclusion—going beyond rhetoric to practical, measurable outcomes.

With the backing of leading non-governmental organisations, such as The Albino Foundation (TAF), the forum will take a hard look at the realities faced by people with disabilities, particularly the persistent gaps in accessibility and inclusion across society.

At its core, the programme is a call to action. It seeks to promote stronger policy reforms, expand employment opportunities, and improve access to inclusive infrastructure. Organisers stress the importance of moving “from promise to action,” underscoring the urgency of tangible steps that can empower millions of Nigerians.

Participants are expected to engage in honest discussions about real-life challenges while exploring practical, locally relevant solutions that can be implemented across the country.

Through this initiative, News Central hopes to spotlight systemic barriers and encourage community-driven change, positioning itself as a platform for accountability and forward-looking dialogue. The event will be broadcast live on DStv channel 422, StarTimes 274, GoTV channel 23, and on YouTube.
