King Charles III on Wednesday received President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, at Windsor Castle, marking the first Nigerian state visit to the United Kingdom in 37 years.
The Nigerian president and first lady were welcomed by senior members of the royal family, including Queen Camilla, Prince William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales.

Tinubu and his wife, who arrived in the UK on Tuesday, were received earlier by Prince William and Catherine at Fairmont Windsor Park before travelling to Windsor to meet the King and Queen.
At Windsor Castle, the leaders took part in a ceremonial welcome that included a carriage procession and a guard of honour. The band of the Grenadier Guards played the national anthems of Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Tinubu later inspected the guard of honour, accompanied by King Charles.
The King and the Nigerian president are expected to deliver speeches at a state banquet on Wednesday evening attended by political leaders and guests with ties to Nigeria.
The traditional state lunch with the monarch will not take place, as Tinubu is observing the Ramadan fast.
